Couple marries 20 years after walking down the aisle hand in hand as flower girl and ring bearer

Briggs Fussy and Britney Husbyn first met approximately 20 years ago when they were part of a bridal entourage as flower girl and ring bearer; Fussy’s godmother’s was the bride at the time. Decades later, the two made a second trip down the aisle, this time as husband and wife!

The newlyweds, who are both 22 years old, confessed that they completely lost contact with each other until their high school freshman year. “We were in class, and she had a picture with her from the wedding. I started to laugh because it was the same one we had hanging in the hallway at home, but I never knew who she was. That wedding was the only time I ever saw her.” Says Briggs. Their relationship turned romantic in their high school junior year. Briggs later enrolled and began studying at the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse. Britney on the other hand went to Minnesota State University, Mankato. A few years into their long-distance relationship, Briggs moved to Minnesota State to be close to his future wife. “I knew I was going to marry her,” he adds.
